Principal's Welcome
Thank you all for your patience in waiting for a newsletter from the school. A new format of the newsletter will be sent out to parents on a fortnightly basis. We will also be emailing a monthly ‘Spotlight’ which will be mainly photos of what has happened in the past month at the school. We want to highlight the great things that our students are doing here at ASHS.
I would like to congratulate all students that have been selected in Tablelands sporting teams, Peninsula teams and represented our school with pride. Congratulations to our school band that won a platinum award at Fanfare last week and are off to Cairns this weekend for the Regional Finals. To the students that have worked hard on activities for Reconciliation week, thank you for dedication to inclusion and diversity.
As much as we recognise the positives, it is unfortunate that I need to mention the vandalism that is occurring here on a regular basis. This year alone we have had to replace toilet seats on several occasions and a hand dryer. Just last week, our Facilities officer put five new toilet seats on and within 3 hours one had been ripped off and the hand dryer pulled from the wall. We have had power points knocked off walls, (a very high safety risk to all), chairs destroyed, graffitti on walls, desks and floors. We have also had visitors to our school after hours deliberately greasing up the door handles, pouring oil over walkways, painting 'Seniors' on walls, as well as inappropriate symbols on the lawn. I am aware of the local 'tradition' of senior pranks, however, the nature of some of these pranks is putting the safety of staff and other students of the school at risk of harm. Our cleaners come into the school in the dark and unfortunately, the hazard of an oily floor has already caused harm to our staff. The school has CCTV and this will be passed on to the local authorites if required. As a school we value Respect, Responsibility and Success and are educating our students about these on a weekly basis in our Positive Behaviour for Learning lessons. To hlep and support the school I ask you to please talk to your children about respecting the school environment.
With the current disruptive year of Covid and a bad flu season we have seen a significant drop in the attendance rate. Attendance at school is important. When your child attends school every day, learning becomes easier and your child will build and maintain friendships with other children.
Parents and carers can help foster positive attendance habits by:
- helping your child learn the importance of punctuality and routine
- ensuring your child arrives on time from the start of the school day, ready to participate in learning
- reducing disruption to learning where possible, by planning any necessary appointments outside of school time
- promptly communicating any absence to the school
- working with the school to encourage and support regular attendance.
We all have an important role in supporting positive school attendance with all students and aim to be at school every school day through consistent positive expectations and messages that support strong school attendance. Arriving at school and class on time is equally as important to success at school. The school is required to recorded lateness to school as a partial absence that must be explained by parents.
Finally, thank you to the students that show up every day, ready to learn. We appreciate your efforts. Thank you to the staff that continue to walk through the gate every day and greet your students with a smile, ready to teach. Thank you to the parents and carers for encouraging your children to come to school to get an education and achieve success. Every Day Counts #Whatever_It_Takes
Mrs Tash Glover
News in Brief
Sports events:
The sports calendar has been sent out previously. Students receive details of sports trials via student notices, parades and email. If you have any questions about representing the school in a sporting team, please see Mr Dean Sullivan in the F block staff room. Please see sports report below for more information.
Teacher Moderation Days:
We are advising everyone that our 2022 teacher moderation days will be held on Wednesday 25th May, Thursday 1st September and Friday 25th November. On these days, teachers will meet to review and revise student progress and then collaboratively plan their next student learning experiences. Students will not be required to attend school on these days and, as with COVID last year, any students attending on these days will be supervised, but no new learning will occur. Please read the detailed information about this event later in this newsletter.
From the Deputy’s Desk - Senior School
During the last two terms I have had the wonderful opportunity of getting to know many of the senior students at Atherton SHS. Our seniors are a talented group, who are showing their increasing maturity. Over the last term, the seniors at Atherton SHS have been working to complete their Unit 1 or Unit 3 work.
Subject Changes
After working through their Unit 1 subjects, the Year 11’s have the opportunity now to change subjects if they require. Students would consider subject changes when they are not succeeding in a class, or if they would like to study a different subject for their chosen pathway. Subject changes can occur with a letter from home and the appropriate form filled in and signed by the relevant Head of Department. Once that is completed students can bring the form up to A block to have their subject officially changed in the timetable.
The Year 12s are not able to make these changes, as Unit 3 and 4 are linked, in order to get credit for the course they need to complete both Unit 3 and 4. We are in the process of identifying students who are at risk of not achieving their QCE and will be setting up meetings where needed.
Year 12 Camp
Unfortunately circumstances have again conspired against us, with the much anticipated Year 12 camp being cancelled at the last minute. These are again due to circumstances outside our control, and we are looking into further opportunities for our Year 12s. While we also know that dance practice for the formal usually starts at camp, we are looking into other possibilities so that everyone gets the chance to learn how to ‘cut the rug’ on the dancefloor.
Unfortunately I will not be continuing in my role as Deputy Principal at Atherton SHS for Semester 2, due to personal circumstances. I wish the current cohort the very best, and know that they will perform outstandingly at the things they choose to do. It has been an absolute pleasure to work with these amazing young people.
Sincerely
Ms Christina Uhlik
From the Deputy’s Desk - Middle School
Hello to our wonderful school community. It has been great to rejoin the school after time away in term one and I want to thank staff, students and parents for their warm wishes upon my return. I have used the first part of the term getting reaquainted with the students I know already in the year levels I am overseeing and have then continued the term by learning about the students I do not know so I am able to support all students in the middle years of high school.
How is it that we are in week 8 already? So much has been going on with our students being involved in all aspects of the school, so many achievements in sport at local and regional levels, fanfare and musical opportunities, but in particular I am looking forward to the careers showcase for our year 10 students on Tuesday of week 9 (14th June). This is the start of our year 10s considering the pathways they want to pursue post schooling, and is timely given that the year 10s select their subjects for the 2023 school year to support their chosen pathway in term three. More information about this will be distributed to students and their families early in term three.
Apart from middle years, I also have the task of making sure that students are in timetabled classes and that teachers are there to teach students - in other words, timetables. All students and their families should note that semester two timetables will be sent during the second week of holiday period to student email addresses. Students can access their emails from any device by going to webmail.eq.edu.au and logging in with their school username and password. Students in year 7 will change their elective rotations at the start of next term, as will the year 9 and 10 cohorts changing from History to Health and Physical Education (or vice versa).
Until next time I wish all students and their families well, keep washing those hands to stay well, and if you have questions or concerns about students in years 9 and 10 please feel free to contact me.
Mrs Natasha Lyndon.
From the Deputy’s Desk - Junior School
Term 2 has been very busy in the junior school with NAPLAN running over 2 weeks in May. I am exceptionally proud of the resilience shown by Atherton State High School’s students to get through this testing period. Next year NAPLAN is moving to term 1 occurring from Wednesday March 15 to Monday March 27, 2023.
Year 7’s were this year again, involved in SEPTOFEST which is unique to Atherton State High School. The day involved team building and leadership activities and culminates as per tradition in the ‘Sid Shuffle.’ It was great to see all of our year 7’s out of their classroom environment and interacting together.
On Wednesday May 25 Atherton State High School hosted year 6 students from of Primary Feeder schools. Students experienced a day at high school and participated in an elective subject, were in Math and Science classrooms and finished with English and Humanities. We look forward to helping our future students transition to High School at our end of year transition day on Wednesday November 30.
Enrolment at Atherton State High School
If you are wanting to enrol a student at Atherton State High School for 2023 then please complete an enrolment pack that should be available from your Primary School. If they do not have these, then please contact our school office and we will arrange one for you.
Once your enrolment paperwork is filled in, you will need to complete an enrolment session at the school. We are conducting these as group interviews on Wednesdays and Thursday afternoons. Please contact the school office to book into one of these sessions or to book an appointment outside of these times.
Immunisation program for Year 7 and Year 10 students
Our school is participating in Queensland Health’s annual School Immunisation Program. All Year 7 and Year 10 students will be offered free vaccinations as recommended on the National Immunisation Program schedule to protect against vaccine preventable diseases. Year 7 students will be offered human papillomavirus (HPV) and diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis (whooping cough). Year 10 students will be offered meningococcal ACWY vaccination.
Vaccines offered in the Queensland School Immunisation Program
School Year | Vaccine | Dose and administration |
Year 7 | Human papillomavirus (HPV) | Two doses of human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine GARDASIL®9 will be offered. The recommended interval for the two doses is 0 and (at least) 6 months but up to 12 months after first dose. |
Diphtheria-Tetanus-Pertussis (dTpa) | One booster dose of adult/adolescent formulation dTpa vaccine will be offered. Most students would have received vaccination against diphtheria, tetanus and pertussis when they were pre-school age.
Year 10 | Meningococcal ACWY | One dose of meningococcal ACWY vaccine will be offered. |
The immunisation team will conduct their second visit on June 21 and will be vaccinating year 10’s and completing year 7 catch up’s. Please return any immunisation paperwork as soon as possible to Student Services. Immunisations require parent permission and are not mandatory but highly encouraged.
Mr Chris Keating.
P and C Executive Committee
P&C News:
The Atherton SHS Parents and Citizen’s Association welcomes members and visitors at 7pm on the second Tuesday of each month. Please email PandC@athertonshs.eq.edu.au to inquire about becoming a member or download from “Our community” on ASHS website. At our Annual General Meeting in February, we elected the 2022 executive - congratulations to: President - Dr Andrew Dennis; Vice President - Jorg Edsen; Secretaries - Meg Stansfield and Larissa Kruck; and Treasurer - Nicky Keevers. We wish them the very best in their roles this year as they represent the parent body at Atherton SHS.
Thank you to these dedicated parents who work with school staff, provide advocacy on behalf of the parent body and work with the school so that every student in the Atherton High Family succeeds.
Our P&C encourages all interested parents and community members to attend our next meeting in the conference room, A block.
Teacher Moderation Day
In 2020 we ran consultations with P&C and the school council to get approval to trial teacher moderation days so that we can ensure that teachers are providing the best possible education for every student. By providing time for teachers to meet together to review, revise, monitor student progress and plan future student learning experiences, we will increase their ability to positively affect student outcomes (known as Collective Teacher Efficacy). This trial is being done to support teachers to ensure that every student is successful at Atherton SHS.
Details of moderation days:
When – 1 day per term
- Term 1 date cancelled
- Wednesday 25th May
- Thursday 1st September
- Friday 25th November
Who
- On these days no new work will be taught at Atherton SHS and students will only be supervised if they attend. Similar to when we had learning from home during the COVID pandemic, we are asking that only those students who have no alternative arrangements attend school on this day. Students who do attend will be supervised by supply teachers and other staff whilst teachers complete moderation activities.
What
- Teachers and leaders have been ‘banking’ non-contact time and will ‘pay back’ the time on this day. They will collaboratively meet in teams to review student progress and prepare for future learning experiences for their classes. In previous years this had led to major disruptions to teaching and learning operations, the moderation days allow for staff to complete their work without removing them from their classes.
- Students will be able to use the time to independently complete work set by teachers, to consolidate their learning or complete scheduled assessment tasks at home. Students who physically attend will complete similar work under supervision.
Why
- Research indicates that the biggest gains in student achievement are made when Collective Teacher Efficacy occurs. This involves teachers working together to have appropriately highly challenging expectations of what student growth over time looks like. We are operationalising this through the use of moderation cycles, which depend on teams of teachers being able to meet without disrupting our normal teaching and learning operations.
- Our parents and school council have supported the trial of the moderation days to improve our classroom practices, increase staff capability and make our school better for our students. We will review the trial throughout the year.
How
- Students who can stay at home and complete learning activities are encouraged to do so.
- Students unable to stay at home will have normal practices occurring in relation to their arrival (e.g. buses will run as normal) and supervision, but no new work will be taught on this day.
- Student rolls will be marked for students who are in attendance. Parents of all students not in physical attendance will be sent a notification SMS to mobile phones to confirm arrangements.
After months of planning and preparation for these days, we look forward to our first trial day so that we can measure the benefits for both staff and students.
Update from the Student Council
This term has been busy with parades; a relief after almost all of them were all cancelled last term! Week 1 we ran the ANZAC Ceremony and remembered those who fell in service of our country. The student executive also represented the school at multiple ANZAC services. We then began planning the full school parade that just happened last week, deciding to focus on mental health, and how exercise can help, as we recognised the challenging times we are all in and the negative effects this can have. Throughout all this, the student exec have been providing feedback to the school leadership, based on direct comments from students who have approached us, as well as general observations. If you ever have any feedback, please feel free to approach any of us and we will relay it.
Positive Behaviour for Learning Update
Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) is a whole-school framework that promotes positive behaviour across a school and helps schools develop safe and supportive learning environments.
Schools which implement the PBL framework make sure all students are explicitly taught the expected behaviours and establish clear and consistent boundaries. Staff take a proactive, preventative approach to ensure all students receive the appropriate level of support to help them to be successful at school.
At Atherton State High School we frame our school expected behaviours around three school values of RESPECT, RESPONSIBLE and SUCCESSFUL.
This term teachers have explicitly taught lessons around:
Respect – Keep your hands and feet to yourself
Responsible - Being in the Right Place at the right time
Successful -Showing Resilience
Respect – Look, Listen and follow staff instructions
Successful – Goal setting and career pathways
The PBL staff team meets fortnightly and reviews behaviour data and sets the lesson in response to this to help students understand the value and make it less likely that this behaviour will continue.
The awarding of high flyers at the moment for students who demonstrate expected behaviours is happening electronically. The team are working on more improvements to positive acknowledgement system.

From the Technology Department
As term 2 draws near, it is important to reflect on all the amazing work that is being done within the technology faculty. As you are aware, the technology faculty is as broad as it is exciting. With Food & fibre technology, Digital technology, Design and Technology and several Vocational subjects including, Engineering, Construction and Hospitality.
Certificate I in construction
Finally making a return to Atherton SHS, Certificate I in Construction Pathways has been a huge success. The students have been learning how to use hand and power tools to create items that are useful in the construction industry. A huge thank you to Bunnings Atherton who has donated PPE and tools for our students to use. Another big thank you goes to Mr Nicholls, our Teacher Aide, whose trade experience is invaluable! Thanks Adam!
Certificate II Engineering Pathways
This year we have partnered with BlueDog Training to deliver the Certificate II Engineering Pathways course. Our new trade training centre is equipped with everything the students need to successfully achieve competency in this course. Our Trade Training Centre is a modern-industry standard facility we are proud to have. The students are learning life-long skills through project development.
Certificate II in Hospitality
This year we have partnered with MiHaven Training to deliver the Certificate II in Hospitality. The students are learning real-world skills that will enhance their employability.
Mrs Khan is leading the practical skills allowing students to experience the preparation of and setting of food and beverages.
Design and Technology
This term has been a busy one with some serious projects being undertaken by our students. Currently, our year 8s are creating keyholders, our year 9s are building camp stools and our year 10s building a colonial table. All these projects require specific skills and the use of a variety of machines and tools.
Digital Technology
Last term the Year 8A Digital class had the opportunity to be Digital Engineers, creating, designing and producing their very own 3D digital solution for potential user consumers.
Students used several applications to import three dimensional shapes and manipulated, edited and grouped forms together to create their very own 3D models.
Exporting their designs into 3D printing formats, students were able to see their design come to life with our new inhouse 3D printer. Students shared their designs online and engaged with community resource banks across the world.
This term, students are building a retro game using Scratch and several other apps. The students have been highly motivated to ensure their game is not only 8bit eighties, but highly entertaining. Saime Stevens, Digital Tech Teacher
Technology Food and Fibre (TFF)
It has been pleasing to see all the great work being done in the TFF area. Mrs Khan and Mr Green have been busily helping students with cooking delicious meals, designing fabulous carry bags and exploring the world of food and its many wonders. Apple Pies! Yum!
Malanda Cattle Handling
The cattle show team recently had time to hone their skills at the Malanda Cattle Handling and Judging School in preparation for the upcoming shows. Atherton came a close second in the competition to All Souls of Charters Towers. Students had the opportunity to assess livestock (Stud and Commercial), speak to an audience and prepare and lead their animals over the weekend course. Many students placed in their respective age groups and experience levels. The individuals that achieved first places were Sascha Micola, David Kilpatrick and Tylah Harris. All students who participates had an enjoyable weekend and learnt some valuable skills. Thank you to the Malanda Show Society and volunteers for the event and the parents for their early starts and to staff that assisted over the weekend.
HPE Update
NEW HIGH JUMP MATS!
Our new World Athletics certified high jump mats have arrived in time for the athletics carnival this year. These mats allow the open boys who wish to utilise the Fosbury flop technique to compete on mats of international specifications on our school site. The new high jump mats measure a whopping 6x4x0.7m, which increases the safety of all students competing in this event.
JUNIOR HPE
Junior Core HPE classes have been completing athletics events this term under the guidance of their teachers. The focus of this learning has been on refining the correct technique, rather than outright performance. The skills learnt in class will hold students in good stead for the upcoming athletics carnival in week 10.
Junior Elective PEX classes have been completing units on training methods and drug awareness in sport, whilst undertaking practical activities including softball, fitness training and strength and conditioning.
RECREATION
Year 11 Recreation students are undertaking an event management unit and are currently running tournaments within classes. They will also be assisting with the organisation and running of the school athletics carnival later this term.
Year 12 Recreation students studied archery in term one. The students learnt multiple skills and safety protocols during this unit, and were lucky enough to receive a visit from Mr Pluschke, our Science HOD, and Mr Nunn, one of our Science teachers, who demonstrated the Kyudo form of archery during class. Mr Pluschke and Mr Nunn are members of the Australian Kyudo Association. This term, the year 12’s are currently undertaking a striking unit, which incorporates hockey and table tennis.
SENIOR PE
Year 11 Physical Education students have just completed their first exam in the subject based on biomechanical principles including summation of forces and projectile motion. They undertook athletics events in order to learn about these topics in, about and through the physical activity.
Year 12 Physical Education students have just finished their IA2 assessment and have now begun their unit four work. This will involve a project folio based on training programs which will be designed to increase their performance in Netball.
CERTIFICATE III FITNESS
Certificate III in Fitness students are currently conducting training sessions with peers. They are developing important interpersonal skills that will set them up for success in the Sport, Fitness and Recreation industry.
HPE WEEK
National HPE week occurred in week 6 of school, and we celebrated by holding daily lunch time challenges for both staff and students. Well done to all the winners of each event who took away some fantastic prizes, and to all of the staff who participated. Overall HPE Week champions will be announced on our next full school assembly.
QLD MAROONS VISIT
In term one we had the privilege of hosting several of the Queensland Maroons Women’s players and staff, who brought the State of Origin shield with them to show us. Their visit was a fantastic reminder of what women can achieve in sport, and we loved hearing their tales from the sporting arena!
ATHLETICS CARNIVAL
This year we are holding a two day whole school athletics carnival on Thursday and Friday of week 10, Term 2. This means that there will be both track and field events occurring across both days. Students will need to pre-nominate for all field events, however they can enter all running races on the day. Please note that Field event permission forms are due back by the end of week 8. Students should listen to the daily notices and/or see Health staff for further information. A full event schedule will be released shortly.
SPORTS COORDINATOR
Due to some recent timetabling changes, Mr Dean Sullivan has stepped down from the Sports Coordinator role. We thank Mr Sullivan for his contribution to school sport over the last year. Mr Harry Simpson will be completing the Sports Coordinator role for the remainder of this year, before a new Sports Coordinator is appointed for 2023.
UQ Young Science Ambassador visit
Adam Hines, UQ Young Science Ambassador, recently visited Atherton State High School. He came to give us a presentation on STEMM careers (the last M is for Medicine) – he is a neuroscientist and final year PhD student studying at The University of Queensland in Brisbane, studying how general anaesthesia affects our brains to make surgeries possible. Adam is passionate about science communication and outreach, working with Wonder of Science to promote and advocate for the next generation of STEMM leaders. The feedback from the students was very positive and the hour long lecture was well received. This event was unded by Business Liaison Assn and Wonder of Science, UQ.
Year 10 crop production
This term has seen the Year 10 learning about the requirements of crop production. They have been studying a range of topics including plant growth, nutrition, disease and propagation methods. We have also had the opportunity to learn about pruning techniques in the school orchard.
Testing Aerodyamics!
The Year 11 Aerospace Systems class recently completed and test-flew their balsawood model aircraft. The building of the model aircraft was part of their “Improving Aerodynamics” assessment item. This assessment item involves building a commercially available rubber powered model aircraft and then designing and building their own model aircraft to improve aerodynamic performance. This assessment item allowed the students to better understand aircraft structures whilst building the model and then to demonstrate their knowledge of aeronautics in the testing phase.
The results were rather interesting! Most of the aircraft flew well. Some, however, needed minor repairs after some unexpected aerobatics!
Overall, the students managed to achieve the assessment objectives and seemed to thoroughly enjoy flying something they had actually built themselves.
Aerospace Systems is an ATAR eligible subject offered to Year 11 and 12 students at Atherton High School. Topics studied include aeronautics, airline and airport operations, aviation business and safety management systems.

Aerospace Systems Teacher
ART News
A Subconcious Scape
Well done to our Year 10 Visual Art students.
They have created some great painted artworks in sresponse to the concept of a 'Subconscious Scape'.
These Surrealist inspired works are interior scapes which incorporate aspects of the subconscious mind and dreams.
Keep up the excellant work!
Come and have a closer look at them in the library!
Sports Update
The School Sport activities have returned to some normality after another disrupted beginning of the year. With so many opportunities being on offer again, Atherton SHS students have been making the most of what is on offer, and also doing very well in terms of Queensland School Sport pathways selection. One of the most recent highlights is two of our students, Ben Howard and Patrick Stevens, representing Peninsula Region at the State Hockey Carnival. Both students performed very well at the 13-19 State championships held in Ipswich, helping Peninsula to achieve the best result in seven years. Also to Talytha Macdonald on representing Peninsula Region for Girls 13 - 19 hockey and being named in the Under 19 Qld Schools Merit Team. Congratulations to all three on your fantasic efforts.
The list of all Peninsula student sporting representations is listed below.
Another event that Atherton SHS students did well at was the Tablelands Cross Country carnival that was held again this year at the Tinaburra Avenue of honour. As our school event unfortunately, was not able to be held out there this year, the Tablelands Carnival was a great opportunity for students to run the full course, as this year the Peninsula Carnival was held at the Avenue of Honour as well.
The Age Champions for our school Cross Country event were:
U12
Alivia Serra
Royce Cummings
U13
Ella Gadsby
Dayne Ross
U14

Congratulations to the mighty Eacham Echidnas who won the ASHS Interhouse Cross Country this year. Overall placings were:
1st – Eacham
2nd – Euramoo
3rd – Barrine
4th - Quincan
Atherton SHS students did very well at the Tablelands District Cross Country carnival with 19 students selected to be part of the Tablelands team to compete are the Peninsula event. All of our students’ achievements contributed to Atherton SHS placing 3rd overall in the school standings. We had two students take out their age level races, and a special mention needs to go to our 17 years Girls, where Atherton SHS had 4 competitors in the top 7 for the age group. The carnival was a very successful and enjoyable day.
While a lot has already happened this year, there is still much happening, and much more to come. ASHS was represented very well at both the Street Smart Secondary Schools Cup Cricket Competition and Vicki Wilson Cup Netball Competition. The Senior Girls won the Tableland round of the Cricket tournament and will progress on to the next round. The Junior boys also competed very well. We had many teams travel to Cairns for the Vicki Wilson Cup Netball comp, including our first ever boys team. The Senior Girls team missed out on the Grand Final, by one point, on a countback against Trinity Bay. All teams were commended on their Sportsmanship and fair play.
A lot is still to come in the realms of sport for 2022 with Queensland School Sport pathways still continuing, various sporting competitions that are already underway and the big event of our school Athletics Carnival which will be held over 2 full school days this year. Atherton SHS has done so well this year, and with so many opportunities still to come, we are all sure the sporting achievements will continue to mount.

From the Library Staff at Atherton State High School, we would like to welcome new and continuing families to our school community and Library. We have been busy rolling out textbooks for our hire scheme and setting up the Library for Distance Education students and clubs.
Below is the latest version of clubs in the Library. If you have any questions regarding clubs or contacts, please don’t hesitate to call or email the Library on Ph: 40305217 OR Mrs. Stevens: sstev113@eq.edu.au.
Reconciliation Week Activities
This year Australians commemorated National Reconciliation Week, from 27th May to 3rd of June. As a nation it is a time to reflect on our past, cultures, and achievements, particularly reflecting on the victory of the 1967 Referendum and the High Court Mabo decision respectively.
On the 27th May 1967, Australia held a referendum which gave the Australian Government power to make laws for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and be recognised in the Census.
On the 3rd June, 1992 the Australian High Court delivered the Mabo decision lead by Eddie Koiki Mabo’s challenge and winning the legal recognition of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the Traditional Owners and Custodians of lands, paving the way for Native Title.
The Library celebrated these achievements with several displays, poster competition and art activities in the Library.
